Coconut husks are a excellent choice to use at the bottom of your substrate of your aquarium and its super easy to use and will tint your water a deep amber colour and gives a great natural look and feel to your aquarium 

perfect to mix leaves and pods together to give that real natural look 

This is perfect for corydoras catfish loaches shrimp plecos and more 

 Botanicals are not just great for tannin your water they have fantastic health benifits such as they have antibacterial propertys stress relieving antifungal propertys aid in breeding natural food source and natural hiding places

Botanicals can be added straight away into your aquarium where they will float for a while or until they sink to the bottom
To speed up this process you can boil the botanicals for a couple of minutes.
Over time the botanicals will slowly degrade and can remain in your aquarium
