The sona boat gets its name from its shape these are a great botanical to have in any aquarium terrarium they can be used whole or broken into pieces 

The sona boat is a long smooth seed perfect for egg layers to lay there eggs on and for fish and shrimp to hide under 

Botanicals are not just great for tannin your water they have fantastic health benifits such as they have antibacterial propertys stress relieving antifungal propertys aid in breeding natural food source and natural hiding places

Botanicals can be added straight away into your aquarium where they will float for a while or until they sink to the bottom
To speed up this process you can boil the botanicals for a couple of minutes.
Over time the botanicals will slowly degrade and can remain in your aquarium
