Mahogany bark rolls have the same effects as Catappa leaves only alot stronger

They will lower the pH stimulate the colours of fish and aid against diseases

The advantage of mahogany bark rolls is that the disease-resistant substances are released much more slowly due to the thick bark. The fish can therefore benefit from it for a very long time (approx. 4 months)

Besides these positive qualities the  bark rolls are also a nice hiding place for shrimps and lobsters fry and many more 

Allso these can be used in your vivarium terrarium paludarium to creat a natural look 

Botanicals are not just great for tannin your water they have fantastic health benifits such as they have antibacterial propertys stress relieving antifungal propertys aid in breeding natural food source and natural hiding places

Botanicals can be added straight away into your aquarium where they will float for a while or until they sink to the bottom
To speed up this process you can boil the botanicals for a couple of minutes.
Over time the botanicals will slowly degrade and can remain in your aquarium
