 ARICANUT POD / BETEL NUT POD 

Half shells of the Areca or Betel Nut pod

The Areca nut is the seed of the Areca palm tree (Areca catechu)

Which grows in the tropical Pacific South Asia Southeast Asia and some parts of east Africa

It is commonly referred to as the Betel Nut Pod

These are great little hides for spiderlings and other small inverts and for fish fry and shrimp in the aquarium 

They create such a beutifull natural look 

Botanicals are not just great for tannin your water they have fantastic health benifits such as they have antibacterial propertys stress relieving antifungal propertys aid in breeding natural food source and natural hiding places

Botanicals can be added straight away into your aquarium where they will float for a while or until they sink to the bottom
To speed up this process you can boil the botanicals for a couple of minutes.
Over time the botanicals will slowly degrade and can remain in your aquarium
