Mahogany outer layer pods are an excellent way to enhance the look of your vivarium terrarium or aquarium and will give u a great tint to your water in the aquarium 

They make great feeding stations and breeding spots for microfauna as well as isopod snacks! These pods come from the Swietenia mahagoni (commonly known as the American mahogany)

Botanicals are not just great for tannin your water they have fantastic health benifits such as they have antibacterial propertys stress relieving antifungal propertys aid in breeding natural food source and natural hiding places

Botanicals can be added straight away into your aquarium where they will float for a while or until they sink to the bottom
To speed up this process you can boil the botanicals for a couple of minutes.
Over time the botanicals will slowly degrade and can remain in your aquarium
